Remote Desktop
If you are unable to use teleconferencing software with our AD Recovery Service, you can instead enable Microsoft Remote Desktop as a fallback.
To verify your Remote Desktop settings, in U-Move right-click and select Remote Desktop Settings
U-Move will check to verify that Remote Desktop is enabled and working correctly.
How to enable Remote Desktop
To enable Remote Desktop on your computer, use the following procedure:
- Hold down the Windows Logo key and press R.
- In the text box type control and click Ok to open the Control Panel.
- Click on System and Security -> System.
- Click on Advanced System Settings or Remote Settings.
- Click on the tab Remote (top).
- Under Remote Desktop select Allow connections and click Ok.
Enable Remote Desktop on the computer where you run U-Move.
Corporate Firewall
You will need to temporarily configure your corporate firewall to allow incoming access to TCP port 3389 and UDP port 3389 from 173.165.243.192/28.
Over the Shoulder
When we connect to your computer to start the AD recovery session, a consent prompt will appear. Click Yes to approve the connection request.
