Announcing U-Move Version 2.8

U-Tools Software is pleased to announce the release of U-Move Version 2.8 for Microsoft Active Directory. Version 2.8 adds support for Window Server 2022. It also supports new Windows 10 security features such as Controlled Folder Access (CFA) and mandatory SHA-2. It improves AD recovery capability for previous versions of Windows Server. All customers are encouraged to upgrade to this version.

U-Move version 2.7.4001 is a major update that adds support for Windows Server 2019 Build 17763.1817 (March 2021). It includes a warning about SHA-1 vs SHA-2 compatibility, a warning about CVE-2020-17049, and fixes a compatibility issue with the Intel Driver & Support Assistant. U-Move 2.7.4001 is the final version that will support SHA-1 on Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, and Windows Server 2008 R2. Due to Microsoft’s expiration of SHA-1 digital signatures there will be no further releases of U-Move 2.7.
